Welcome to Vintage Vault ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Vintage Vault website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

Vintage Vault is an online auction platform specialised for antiques and collectibles. We provide a marketplace where sellers can list items for auction and buyers can bid on these items.

2.1 Registration

To use certain features of our Services, you must register for an account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and keep your account information up-to-date.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access our Services. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your account.

2.3 Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

3.1 Listing Items

Sellers are responsible for providing accurate descriptions and images of items listed for auction. Items must be legally owned by the seller and legally eligible for sale.

3.2 Bidding

By placing a bid, you are making a legally binding offer to purchase the item at the bid price. All bids are final and cannot be retracted once submitted.

3.3 Winning Bids

If you are the winning bidder, you are obligated to complete the purchase of the item at the final bid price. Failure to complete a purchase may result in account penalties or suspension.

3.4 Reserve Prices

Sellers may set a reserve price for their items. If the highest bid does not meet the reserve price, the seller is not obligated to sell the item.

4.1 Process

Our authentication service involves review of the item by our experts to verify authenticity. Authentication is an optional service that sellers may request for their items.

4.2 Limitations

While we strive for accuracy, our authentication service is based on expert opinion and cannot guarantee with absolute certainty the authenticity of any item. Authentication results represent our best professional judgment.

4.3 Fees

Authentication services incur additional fees, which are clearly displayed during the listing process. These fees are payable only upon successful sale of the authenticated item.

5.1 Platform Fees

Vintage Vault charges sellers a commission on successful sales. This commission is calculated as a percentage of the final selling price and is clearly displayed during the listing process.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through our secure payment system. Buyers must complete payment within 48 hours of winning an auction.

5.3 Currency

All transactions on Vintage Vault are conducted in British Pounds (GBP).

6.1 Shipping Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for shipping items to buyers promptly after payment is received. Sellers must provide accurate shipping information and costs during the listing process.

6.2 Returns and Refunds

Our return policy allows for returns if an item is significantly different from its description or if an authenticated item is proven to be inauthentic. Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the item.

The following items are prohibited from being listed on Vintage Vault:

• Counterfeit or replica items presented as authentic
• Stolen merchandise
• Items that infringe upon intellectual property rights
• Weapons and explosives
• Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
• Pornographic material
• Human remains or body parts
• Endangered species products
• Hazardous materials
• Any items prohibited by law

Vintage Vault reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these prohibitions.

8.1 Our Content

The content on our Services, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Vintage Vault and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 User Content

By uploading content to our Services (including item descriptions and images), you grant Vintage Vault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vintage Vault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

1. Your use or inability to use our Services
2. Any unauthorised access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
3. Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our Services
4. Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Services

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms and/or by sending you an email notification.

Your continued use of our Services after such modifications will constitute your acknowledgment and agreement to the modified Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the United Kingdom.
